Queen’s Park Day

Founded by Margaret Maye of the Epilepsy Cure Initiative, the Epilepsy Queen’s Park Action Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the issues affecting people who have epilepsy with Members of Provincial Parliament (MPP’s).  Dozens of epilepsy volunteers and representatives celebrate when “Epilepsy Awareness Day” is declared in the Legislature.  This is followed by meetings with MPP’s and Queen’s Park staff to educate them about epilepsy, how it affects the lives of thousands of Ontario citizens, and the supports and services required to support them.   How Can You Get Involved? Read the messages that epilepsy agencies are sharing with MPP and then contact your local MPP.  Let them know what services and supports are necessary to improve the quality of lives of people with epilepsy.
