Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario Fire Truck Pull 2020 News

Each year, Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario (ESEO) hosts an annual Fire Truck Pull in July. The event raises awareness about Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders and the effect the Disorder has on people, their caregivers/families and friends. The event also raises greatly needed dollars to support programs offered by ESEO.  ON behalf of the Volunteer Board of Directors, I am saddened to announce that we have cancelled the 2020 Fire Truck Pull as a direct result of COVID-19. This decision was not taken lightly, and has the potential to impact negatively on the robust array of services we provide across the Southeast Region. Since 2019, ESEO has expanded its rural service delivery in partnership with the Local Health Integration Network (MOHLTC), the Kingston Health Science Centre’s Epilepsy Clinics as well as with a dedicated group of volunteers, clients and staff. The Board is making every effort to find alternative sources of funding. We remain a proud United Way of KFL&A member Agency. We are also grateful to private donors, our charitable Bingo events (currently closed die to COVID-19 as well), and the dedicated group of volunteers and clients who remain committed to assisting persons with Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders. We also thank the Fire Fighters, First Responders and media supporters who consistently give their all. Thanks to CKWS Global Network, CFJR Brockville, MyFm Gananoque, our local MP and MPP’s, the City of Kingston and, perhaps most importantly…. all of you.

Please keep in contact. We value your interest, your input and your ongoing support.

Sincerely yours,
